You need to use your free spins or gold to change your weapon traits in the main lobby. If you get Tier D traits like Slow, Weak, Fragile, or Dull, these are bad rolls that hurt your character. You must roll over them immediately.
If you keep dying in hard modes like the Shinobi Raid, you do not always need Godly or Reaper. Try to get the Zombie trait instead. It gives you easy Lifesteal, meaning you can heal yourself back to full HP just by hitting huge waves of monsters.
For the absolute best end-game setup, pro players always look for Flash or Reaper. Flash lets you spam your skills with zero wait time, while Reaper gives you crazy high crit damage to one-shot boss fights.
